Greetings,
I would like to formally apologize on behalf of the active chapter of our organization for the lack of communication with our alumni community. As our Director of Communications, I will be restarting the newsletters and hopefully relations with all of you. I feel that it is important to keep our alumni informed, and have taken it upon myself to make that a reality. From now on, you will be seeing newsletters at least once a semester, and updates on any important events that are coming up.

Brothers,
As the fall semester begins, let us reflect on the successes and joys that the year of 2024 has brought us. As an executive board, much of our focus has been on internal operations and preparations to expand and strengthen the brotherhood that sustains us. Regardless, we have been able to unite as a chapter and continue to display our prowess on campus within our academic achievement, with many brothers making the Spring 2024 Dean's list, our community involvement, with 10.5 hours served per brother this semester, and our tight-knit chapter camaraderie within all of our events and University events. With this fall rush, we have welcomed 15 new and promising members into our arms and are excited for their future initiation in a couple of weeks. We look forward to keeping you informed on any future events!

Member Spotlight
Brycen Haner
|

|
Brycen Haner has been an active member of the fraternity since the fall of 2022. He is an undergraduate majoring in mechanical engineering and hopes to be successful in the future. While being a member of the fraternity, he is also a member of the Florida Tech Track/XC team, a Clemente Center employee, and a student government senator. When asked what has been his favorite part about joining the fraternity, he said "I have enjoyed the experiences that I have been able to have with my brothers as well as all the new connections that I've made along the way." In the future, he hopes to obtain an executive position and become an even larger part of the fraternity.

This past year has seen the brothers come together for many events. We have gone paintballing, made sushi, participated in Greek week, and have done so much more. We have also held mixers with several other Greek organizations on campus. During Greek week this year, our chapter placed second overall! We placed first in basketball, football, and the spelling bee. We are looking forward to many more great events in the future.

Throughout the past year, the active chapter has continued to strive for the betterment of the community. We have had the opportunity to work with several great organizations including the B+ Foundation. The B+ Foundation is a financial provider for families of childhood cancer. Delts, as well as the rest of the Greek organizations on campus, came together for a field day to raise money. Greek Life at Florida Tech raised $13,751 in total for this great organization!
We have also hosted several events to raise money for JDRF! Our signature event has been "Pelt a Delt" which has been gaining attraction on campus over the last year. Every month during the market day on campus, we have been tabling to raise money.

We are excited to announce that the Iota Xi chapter has won its 5th Court of Honor Award! Our chapters overall rank was 23 out of all 123 Delta Tau Delta chapters nationwide!

This years fall rush went extremely well, and we are excited to introduce the 15 new members of this years fall rush! These men are currently working through our rush process and we are excited for their initiation in a couple of weeks!
