How to Request Refund?

1. Find your order on the Tickets page in Eventbrite.

After you log in to your Eventbrite account (go here if you’ve never logged in before), access the account menu, and click Tickets to find your order. The E-mail address is the address you leave when you purchase our ticket(s).

2. Choose "Request a Refund."

Select "Request a Refund” to get started.


3. Fill out the contact form and select “Continue.”

Your name, email address, and contact reason will already be filled in for you. Use the drop-down menu under “Refund Reason” to choose a reason for your refund, then write a short message explaining your request. Hit “Continue” once every field is filled out.


4. Review your request and hit “Submit Refund Request.”

Check the information on your refund request to make sure everything looks correct. Then click “Submit Refund Request” to send your request to the event organizer.

If you need to make changes to your refund request before submitting, just click “Edit Information” to go back.

5. Review your request and hit “Submit Refund Request.”

You’ll see a success message letting you know your refund request was submitted to the organizer. Hit “Track Refund Request” to go back to your order details and track the status of your request. You’ll see a notification and you can click “View” to see the details of your request.

6. Wait 1-5 Business Days

We will respond to your request within 1 - 5 business days, and you’ll automatically receive an email from Eventbrite once the refund has been sent.

I paid in full with PayPal
You will receive a second email from PayPal along with the refund email with Eventbrite.

All refunds will be sent back to the payment method of your original payment. Money should be refunded in the currency you originally selected. If we're unable to refund you in the original currency, or your primary currency, you'll be refunded in US dollars (USD).

If you paid with your:

  • Credit card (including PayPal Credit): your refund will go to your credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund amount to appear on your card statement. If the card was canceled or you paid with a prepaid card, contact the card issuer to access your refund. The money will still be sent to this card account.
  • Bank account: your refund will initially go back to the PayPal balance before being auto swept back to the original funding source (bank). It may take up to 5 business days for the refund amount to appear on your bank account. If a refund is issued shortly after you paid, we'll try to cancel the transaction so you're never charged. If we're unable to cancel the transaction, the refund will be processed and sent to your bank account.
  • PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance: your refund will go to your PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance on the same day the refund was processed.
  • PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance + credit card: your refund will go to both your PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance and credit card. The refund to the balance will happen the same day it's processed; the refund to the card may take up to 30 days. 
  • Debit card: your refund will go to your debit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund amount to appear on your card statement. If the refund can't be applied to your debit card, it'll be sent to your PayPal account.
